Database Developer - Demand and Production Planning
Tesla is hiring a data architect to manage the data feeding into the global demand plan, from master data ETL’s to outputs from our internal planning application. Creating rich, clean, and optimized master datasets is one of the most important parts of achieving supply-demand balance, strong financial results, and inbound/outbound supply chain efficiency. Ideal candidates are looking for high-impact role that straddles operations and IT at a fast-paced company.

- Constantly enrich datasets to enable increasingly sophisticated planning and forecasting
- Support technical design and implementation of demand planning automation projects that use these master datasets
- Monitor and enforce data quality standards to prevent bad signals that could misallocate supply
- Design/maintain reporting hierarchies for build plan, logistics plan, and S&OP
What You’ll Bring
- Mastery of relational databases / SQL
- Expert at database optimization, with a deep understanding of scalable database design, query tuning, and specific tools like indexing, partitioning, and query execution plan optimization
- 3+ years of experience working in data architecture or a related field
